Children are the key resources for future social development. Their personal growth and development are determined by the environmental factors that they are exposed to. Environment does have remarkable impacts on children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development. English Kindergarten Program of SPS primarily focuses on necessary pre-academic skills including letters recognition, numeracy, phonics, motor skills, pre-reading skills, pre-writing skills, listening skills, and speaking skills which are all the greatest pathway for children’s academic achievements. Students; moreover, are expected to be (1) Creative and Independent Learners; (2) Collaborative Team Members, (3) Respectful and Responsive Learners and (4) Spontaneous English Communicator. The other four key areas of young learners’ development are also primarily focused: (1) Cognitive Development, (2) Physical Development, (3) Creative Development, and (4) Social- Emotional Development.
This English Kindergarten Program consists of three levels: Kindergarten I, Kindergarten II, and Kindergarten III. Each level consists of four terms, and each term lasts for 11 weeks. The classes are divided into two shifts. Morning shift starts from 7:30 am – 10:30 am and from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm for afternoon shift.
