General English Program

General English Program (GEP)

GEP is exclusively designed for any students who wish to be proficient in American English which primarily focuses on all the 4 English macro skills, which are listening, speaking, reading and writing. SPS General English Program has been widely recognized for the students’ high proficiency in using English by engaging them in meaningful and communicative learning activities both inside and outside the classroom especially in daily communication with their friends, teachers, and family. This course is specially designed for children, young learners, and adult learners, ranging from the age of three. This program consists of kindergarten 1-2, primary, and secondary. SPS offers only full-time classes in this program and one term lasts for 11 weeks with 4 terms per year. Classes are held at two shifts, morning from 7:30 to 10:30 am, afternoon from 1:30 to 4:30pm, and from Monday to Friday. The students who have graduated from this program can continue their studies in the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) or English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Extra curriculum will be added for this program such as lab, computer study, video study, sports, art, music, and painting.

General English Program for Part-time Classes

This course is designed for young learners and adult learners, from the age of six. This program consists of 16 levels ranging from beginning to advanced level. The school offers only part-time classes in this program and one term lasts for 11 weeks with 4 terms per year. Classes are held from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM and from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM and from Monday to Friday. The students who have graduated from this program can continue their studies in the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) or English for Specific Purposes (ESP).

Extra-curricular activities

Extra-curricular activities such as arts, sports, drawings, and other soft skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, courage, and leadership are promoted along with hard skills which means the knowledge of subjects which the students learn from their course books. What is more, SPS students are encouraged to be actively involved in social activity, such as Charity events, Traffic Awareness Campaigns organized by the Cambodian Red Cross, and many Environmental Awareness Programs.
